Frequently Asked

Who is Alex Glöckle?

Alex Glöckle is a German sports scientist, health manager and coach for longevity, mobility and strength training, based in the Neu-Ulm area. He is the founder of Glöckle Sports and co-founder of Soccerkinetics, a neurocentric football training method trusted by more than 25,000 players and coaches. He also trains coaches in an approach combining movement, neuro-athletics and training science.

What is Soccerkinetics?

Soccerkinetics is a neurocentric football training method co-founded by Alex Glöckle and coach Simon Jans. It applies brain-based training to football to improve technique, reaction speed and decision-making while reducing injuries. More than 25,000 players and coaches use the method, over 100 coaches have been trained in it, and it has been applied in youth academy football, including at Werder Bremen.

What is neurocentric training?

Neurocentric (brain-based) training targets the nervous system rather than only muscles: it trains the visual, vestibular and proprioceptive systems to improve movement quality, performance and resilience. Alex Glöckle, a certified Z-Health neuro-athletics trainer, uses it in longevity coaching and applies it to football through Soccerkinetics.

What are Alex Glöckle's qualifications?

Alex Glöckle holds a B.Sc. in Sports Science, a B.A. in Health Management and an M.Sc. in Business Education, and studied at the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg. He is also a certified Z-Health neuro-athletics trainer, Life Kinetik trainer, cognition trainer, A-licence fitness trainer and movement coach.

What does Alex Glöckle mean by longevity training?

For Alex Glöckle, longevity training means building a body that still works at 90: staying fit enough to live actively and independently into old age. His approach rests on five pillars, stability and mobility, strength, endurance, coordination and speed, and condenses findings from sports science, neuroscience and longevity research into protocols that fit everyday life.
