About Dr. Jonathan Apasu

Dr. med. Jonathan Apasu is the co-founder of Adon Health, a Munich-based digital health platform focused on men's hormonal health and testosterone replacement therapy. He studied medicine at the University of Bonn and completed his doctoral research at the Yale University School of Medicine, where he was first author on a 2019 paper in The FASEB Journal on neuronal calcium sensor 1 (NCS1) and breast cancer metastasis. Before founding Adon Health in late 2023 with Maximilian Schubert, both former McKinsey consultants, Apasu worked in management consulting on digital health services. The company closed a high six-figure pre-seed round in April 2024 led by Backbone Ventures, with the Atomico Angel Programme participating, and runs a vertically integrated platform combining at-home blood testing, telemedicine and pharmacy fulfilment for testosterone deficiency. Apasu hosts the Men's Health Podcast and sits on the advisory board for gender-equitable healthcare at the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR). Adon Health has been covered by Handelsblatt, Gründerszene, NZZ and Gala; according to the company, the platform has supported more than 10,000 men. A former player in the German Basketball Bundesliga, Apasu today trains Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and strength work, and aims to bring evidence-based diagnostics and structured care to a field that has long been underdiagnosed and stigmatised.
