About Felix Faber

Felix Faber is the co-founder and CEO of Mindpeak, a Hamburg-based AI company building deep-learning software for pathologists in clinical and pharmaceutical workflows. He holds a BSc in Cognitive Science from the University of Osnabrück and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Freiburg, where he specialised in AI in Sven Behnke's Humanoid Robotics group and won two RoboCup world championships in robotic soccer. Before Mindpeak, Faber founded the online-games company Bytro Labs in 2008. Bytro merged with Stillfront Group in 2013, which listed on Nasdaq Stockholm in 2015 and reached a peak market capitalisation of around USD 3 billion. According to pharmaphorum, the companies he has built have generated over USD 350 million in cumulative revenue. In 2018 he co-founded Mindpeak with Dr. Tobias Lang. The company has released ten or more CE-IVD-marked products on a single deep-learning platform and is distributed via partnerships such as Paige; ZEISS led an investment round in 2024. Faber states Mindpeak's tools have supported diagnoses in more than 50,000 cancer patients across the US and EU, and he was named Hamburg Innovator of the Month in December 2024.
