Dr. Paul Rochon is a cognitive neuroscientist specializing in sleep, states of consciousness, and human performance under pressure. He holds a PhD in Cognitive Science on sleep and circadian rhythms from the University of Bordeaux 2 in France, a Master's in Cognitive Sciences (neurosciences, psychology, ergonomics, epistemology) from the same university, and a Master's in Cellular Biology and Physiology with a focus on neurosciences from the University of Bordeaux 1.

A former professional rugby player, Rochon has worked in sleep care and research for more than 15 years. He is the founder of Engineering Sleep, a consultancy that builds tailored recovery programs for athletes, businesses, and individuals, addressing sleep disorders, circadian disruption, jet lag, and insomnia. Since March 2023 he has headed the Raffles Sleep Centre at Raffles Hospital Beijing, one of the first integrated sleep centres in the Raffles Medical Group in China, where he also leads the Mental Health Department. The centre combines sleep monitoring and diagnostics with multidisciplinary treatment across dental, physiotherapy, and general practice teams.
