What is Longevity Portland?

Longevity Portland is a free, science-based community for people in Portland, Oregon who want to stay healthy for longer. It is the Portland chapter of Longevity Cities, for anyone interested in the habits behind aging well: movement, sleep, food, stress and social connection. You do not need a wearable, a special diet or any biohacking experience.

The chapter opens with its Kick-off Matcha & Walk on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 10 AM to noon, starting at PDX Coffee Club on SW 1st Avenue downtown: a relaxed morning of matcha and light movement. Portland's green spaces, from Forest Park with its Wildwood Trail and Leif Erikson Drive to the Willamette waterfront, are natural places for later meetups. More dates will be posted on this page.

Joining is free: create an account, join the Portland WhatsApp group linked on this page and register for the kick-off in the calendar. Longevity Portland is a community, not a longevity clinic. People come here to learn, compare notes on tests and check-ups, and ask questions in good company.

Frequently asked questions

What is Longevity Portland?
Longevity Portland is the Portland, Oregon chapter of Longevity Cities, a free and non-commercial community for healthy aging. It brings together people who are interested in health, longevity, fitness and better living to learn from each other, with science as the filter. The chapter is new and opens with a Kick-off Matcha & Walk on October 25, 2026. Everyone is welcome.
Is there a longevity clinic in Portland?
Longevity Portland is not a clinic. We are a free community and do not diagnose, treat or sell. Longevity clinics and naturopathic practices exist in the Portland area, and US programs typically run from a few thousand to over 20,000 dollars a year. When comparing offers, ask which tests are guideline-based and which are experimental, and walk away from anyone promising to reverse aging.
Where can I get a biological age test in Portland?
Most people in Portland use a mail-in epigenetic age test (roughly 200 to 500 dollars) or an annual biomarker blood-testing membership (roughly 350 to 500 dollars a year), and some add a lab panel through their doctor. Free options are here on this site: the VO2max calculator, grip-strength test with age norms and face-age test. Results differ between providers, so one number is a snapshot rather than a verdict.
What longevity events and meetups are there in Portland?
The first Longevity Portland event is the Kick-off Matcha & Walk on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 10 AM to noon, meeting at PDX Coffee Club, 306 SW 1st Ave. Expect a relaxed morning of matcha and light movement with people interested in health and longevity. It is the chapter's opening event, and later dates will be added to the calendar on this page.
Is there a hiking or walking group in Portland, for example in Forest Park?
Longevity Portland starts with a group walk at the October 25, 2026 kick-off, and no regular hiking series exists yet. Forest Park, with the Wildwood Trail and Leif Erikson Drive right inside the city, is an obvious candidate for future outings. If you would like to lead or suggest a route, say so in the Portland WhatsApp group linked on this page.
Where can I find a biohacking community in Portland?
Longevity Portland is a free community for people in Portland who like to try things for their health and want an evidence check. Ask about sleep, strength training, cold exposure or nutrition and compare what has worked for others. You do not have to identify as a biohacker, and there is no gear to buy. The Portland WhatsApp group keeps the conversation going between meetups.
How do I meet people in Portland if I come alone?

The format is easy to join and easy to leave, and conversation flows while walking. The community is open to all ages and fitness levels, and to Portlanders as much as people who have just moved to town.
What does Longevity Portland cost and how do I join?

You pay only for what you buy yourself, such as your matcha at PDX Coffee Club, and each listing states costs upfront. There is no membership fee and no equipment needed.
